WINNER SPECIAL DOCUMENTARY JURY PRIZE 2007 Sundance Film Festival

“Exacting, enraging. A clear, temperate and devastating account of high-level arrogance and incompetence. A sober, revelatory, and absolutely vital film.”
– A.O. Scott, The New York Times

"A devastating critique of the administration's handling of the Iraq war..."

- Manohla Dargis, The New York Times

"PREPARE TO BE RIVETED. Without question the most important movie you are likely to see this year. It is not a film that simply massages your pre-existing attitudes about the war in Iraq. Rather it is a work that tells you things you almost certainly did not know about that disaster or things that have been lost to sight as chaos, anarchy and our feelings of helplessness have grown over the years since the invasion of 2003."
– Richard Schickel, Time Magazine

“Not-to-be-missed! Can make you weep with anger. Bursting with barely contained rage of the men and women whose expertise and best intentions were betrayed at every turn. This powerhouse of a movie should be required viewing for every member of Congress.” – David Ansen, Newsweek

NO END IN SIGHT proves there’s nothing more subversive than a somber, lucid recitation of facts. Ferguson doesn’t linger on the subject of fat, no-bid contracts for administration friends… Nor is he reckless about ascribing motives to the war’s architects. We can argue about what they aimed to do. What they did, the film drives home, was criminal negligence at best. To say what it was at worst you’d need Dante.”
– David Edelstein, New York Magazine

“The most potent filmed indictment of the ‘stuff happens’ approach to American foreign policy to emerge since the Saddam statue was toppled. (A) lacerating analysis of America’s occupation in Iraq.”

– Jan Stuart, Newsday

“A surprising firebomb of a film!” – Marshall Fine, Daily News

“The most compelling and least partisan of all the Iraq documentaries. A portrait in pre-war misdirection and post-war malfeasance and as close to an honest historical work as we’re likely to get until the war is over and everyone has had their say.”
– Jack Mathews, Daily News

“Masterfully edited and cumulatively walloping. Ferguson’s NO END IN SIGHT turns the well-known details of our monstrously bungled Iraq war into an enraging, apocalyptic litany of fuckups… Relentless. Chillingly calm and composed. The rare American documentary that doesn’t appear to preach to the converted. Everything you wanted to suspect about this administration’s warmongers but were afraid to fully believe? Here it is.”
– Rob Nelson, Village Voice

“Devastating. Leaves us seething. It’s the rare political film that could make a difference in the real world.”
– Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly

How did a group of men with little or no miitary experience, knowledge of the Arab world or personal experience in Iraq make such debilitating decisions as they led the U.S. military to war in Iraq? NO END IN SIGHT is the first film of its kind to chronicle the reasons behind Iraq's descent into guerilla war, warlord rule, criminality and anarchy -- and an astonishing insider's tale of wholesale incompetence and recklessness. The Bush administration's decisions and their consequences on the ground are candidly revealed by high-ranking officials such as Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage, Ambassador Barbara Bodine (in charge of Baghdad during the spring of 2003), Col. Lawrence Wilkerson (Colin Powell's former Chief-of-Staff), and Gen. Jay Garner (who commanded the occupation of Iraq through May 2003), and Iraqi civilians, American soldiers, and prominent analysts discuss the aftermath of the fall of Baghdad. NO END IN SIGHT examines the manner in which the principal errors of U.S. policy -- the use of insufficient troop levels, allowing the looting of Baghdad, the purging of professionals from the Iraqi government and the disbanding of the Iraqi military -- largely created the insurgency and chaos that engulf Iraq today. It marks the first time Americans will be allowed inside the White House, Pentagon and Baghdad's Green Zone to understand for themselves the disintegration of Iraq.
